What is public interest communications? Please provide your suggestions about the characteristics and key frameworks that should be part of the field. Also, whose voices are missing from the field as it is currently defined? (Please click on the "Edit" tab above to add to this page.)

Public interest communications is an interdisciplinary field that seeks to benefit society by providing insightful information and analysis on a broad range of issues.

Traditional forms of media often fail to convey the perspectives and experiences of marginalized groups of people. Public interest communications seeks to allow their voices to be heard.

PIC uses strategic communication grounded in research, science, and community to achieve sustained and positive change.
